Where were you born and raised?
Born at Westpoint, NY and raised in Long Beach, CA
What’s a short story around the biggest transition you’ve faced in life?
I’ve had several and they have all involved “hard stops”— injury, moves, motherhood—events that require stopping one way of life and making new decisions about what is possible and important in the future.
What’s the once piece of advice you’d give a younger you?
I think I studied more than I needed to. I should have done more sailing and diving when I had the time.
Your Personal Why?
The value that drives my research and career is principled and respectful interaction.
How does your Why drive you to be a part of the THF Ecosystem?
We spend a lot of time at work. I believe that feeling effective on the job, and having generative workplace experiences, are a critical part of any successful transition.
Military Connection or Why do you respect Special Operators?
Many members of my family have been in the military, Air Force, Navy, Army. I know Special Operators get thanked a lot for their service, and I’d like to add my voice to that appreciation.
Favorite THF Value, and why?
Value 03: Provide Field Experience. Thinking about how you think, and reviewing decisions with smart people, is in the secret sauce of effective leaders.
