Eric Curran, Director of Virtual Programs
Name: Eric Curran
Where were you born and raised?
Born in California but raised in Missouri.
What’s a short story around the biggest transition you’ve faced in life?
The biggest transition I have faced was to single fatherhood when my wife passed away. It forced me to reconcile my truest purpose which was to be a father.
What’s the one piece of advice you’d give a younger you?
Be more present with the ones you love while still chipping away at your future goals.
Your Personal Why?
I love mentoring, I don’t want to leave this world with any knowledge kept to myself that could help someone.
How does your Why drive you to be a part of the THF Ecosystem?
I love the work that THF does. I think there is huge power in stopping for a moment and checking in with yourself on your personal goals as you make a huge transition. THF facilitates an inward look that everyone needs when putting away one developmental part of your life to move into the next.
Military Connection or Why do you respect Special Operators?
30 years in the U.S. Army, 25 in Special Forces.
Favorite THF Value, and why?
Fierce Empathy. I believe that empathy is what makes America’s fiercest warriors into America’s strongest leaders.
Area/Industry of expertise:
