As Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer, Marc Brown is responsible for aligning the business and people strategies for Bridgepoint Education. During his tenure, he redesigned all aspects of the company’s people agenda and talent systems to shape a culture of solutions-based innovation, passion for the impact education has on changing lives, and workforce agility in the digital age.

With his focus on streamlining operations and increasing the employee experience, he led the effort to convert HR from non-integrated manual processes to a SAS-enabled HR service delivery model, including centers of excellence, shared services and functionally-aligned business partners, increasing the impact of HR across the company.

Prior to joining Bridgepoint, he served as the VP of Human Resources, Corporate Communications and Facilities at Provide Commerce, and VP of HR at both Petco Animal Supplies and Encore Capital Group.

Marc earned his MS in Organization Development from American University and his BS in Management Science from Virginia Tech. He has also achieved the Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification and completed the Human Resources Executive Program at Stanford University.

He has been a THF Ambassador for nearly four years, supporting the organization through time, talent and treasure – coaching, mentoring and hiring numerous Fellows, attending countless classes and providing strategic guidance to the Leadership Team.
