As a Special Forces Captain with 10 years of military experience, I thought knew everything prior to starting THF…Joking! Seriously, I started THF very anxious about ‘what’s next?’. Although I don’t have a definitive answer to that question, I am undoubtedly in a better position now than I was three months ago. THF helped me affirm and verbalize my values, taught me how to network, and exposed me to a variety of industries and incredible people. For that, I am forever grateful. Working alongside the THF team, my Fellows in Cohort 87, and the countless individuals who volunteered their time as coaches, hosting events, and more, has been an eye-opening experience about the strength in the veteran network. I look forward to finding my way through the thick, North Carolina draw that is military transition and turning around to help someone else do the same.
