THF epitomizes what military transition programs should be! An exceptional curriculum delivered by a staff of superstars honed my self-awareness and optimized my transition strategy. THF then armed me for life with an unparalleled network of diverse professionals spanning multiple industries.
THF was an incredible journey for me to identify my strengths and discover my “why.” I feel more confident and better prepared to transition from 23+ years of service into a civilian career. I am forever indebted to the exceptional professionals at THF and incredible resources they provide in supporting my transition. Thank you so much for the opportunity and I am honored to be considered a THF Alumni. I look forward to giving back to THF and encourage this journey and experience for everyone.
I learned things I didn’t know I needed to know. The THF staff was more than professional and understanding. I cannot oversell THF to my friends and colleagues.
My experience with The Honor Foundation was terrific. The THF Staff and Coaches are fantastic and genuinely care about our successes outside of the military. My advice is for all future fellows to take advantage of their Coach and the Cups of Coffee she connects them to. My Coach and the Cups of Coffee she connected me to were extremely helpful in getting my resume ready and helping me understand the different industries and opportunities outside of the military.
This was an awesome experience and helped prepared me for transitioning out the Military. I really enjoyed engaging the executive coaches.
A phenomenal Experience setting me up for my next phase of civilian life
Going through the THF program was a game changing experience! The curriculum was purposeful and instrumental in shaping my personal and professional future during post military life. I would highly recommend this prestigious program to any transitioning SOF member.
The THF program has been an amazing experience for me. When I came in, I thought I knew what I wanted from my next career. I thought that I had a great resume and that my LinkedIn profile was amazing, and I was wrong about all of that. During my interview, the program asked me to trust the process and to go all in, and I did that. After fully applying myself, I can say that I truly understand what I value in the next chapter of my life, and I feel confident that I will find a career that provides the satisfaction and life balance that I desire.
The best part about THF was finally taking the time to learn about myself and what drives me to be the biggest asset to any future employer
This experience is absolutely invaluable. From the professionalism and care poured into it from Kelsey and Marc, o the mentors, coaches seemingly an army of folks here to support us. Transition is difficult, the fact that it seems you are the absolute last priority to the unit you dedicated your adult life to just adds to that difficulty. This opportunity really made me feel like all the years my family and I sacrificed was worth it. The focus of the program on the unknown variables that we have not dealt with during our career has made transition so much smoother and much less daunting. Thank you for everyone that made this experience above and beyond. Especially America’s Kelsey!!
I’m lucky and glad to have attended The Honor Foundation! Cohort 83 was full of professionals and wonderful people. The Honor Foundation was an outstanding course that far exceeded my expectations. It provided invaluable resources and support for transitioning military personnel, helping us navigate the complexities of civilian career paths. The curriculum was comprehensive and insightful, covering everything from resume building to interview techniques, and the instructors were experienced professionals who genuinely cared about our success. The hands-on workshops and personalized coaching sessions were particularly beneficial, allowing us to apply what we learned in real-world scenarios. The networking opportunities were exceptional, connecting us with industry leaders and potential employers, which opened doors to numerous career opportunities. Additionally, the sense of camaraderie and support among participants created a motivating and collaborative environment. Overall, the Honor Foundation was a transformative experience that equipped me with the tools and confidence needed to thrive in the next chapter of my career.
My time with THF was more valuable than I expected. I was worried about the time investment at first and was hesitant, but I am so happy I committed and participated in the AMAZING opportunity to better prepare myself for my transition. I will never be able to say enough good things about what THF has done for me. The connections with my cohort and others across the THF enterprise will carry me well into and beyond my retirement. Thank You!
The Honor Foundation has been incredibly impactful in my transition out of the military, helping me discover my inner self and navigate this new chapter with confidence. The most rewarding aspect has been connecting with like-minded individuals who are also transitioning, creating a supportive and inspiring community.
The Honor Foundation has been nothing short of spectacular for me, and I am eternally grateful to have had the opportunity to partake in it. The program helped me learn a tremendous deal about myself, my skills, and how to market my experiences to future employers. More importantly, it provided me the springboard I needed to get serious about my post-military goals. Thank you for the lessons, the newly formed friends, and the momentum to transition well into the next chapter of my life.
I found that The Honor Foundation is truly committed to “serving others with honor for life” with everyone I met there. Going through their program profoundly impacted my transition out of the Air Force and I am proud to continue being a part of the community as an alumni. Of all the nonprofits out there geared towards serving veterans, I haven’t seen one that outperforms the impact of THF.
The greatest opportunity THF offers is the space to focus on ourselves. To reflect, understand, and express ourselves through a multitude of optics that aren’t commonplace in the military.
THF helped clear away the fog and predisposed uncertainty of transition. Preferences and priorities helped me the most early on, because I realized mine had changed, but I was still stuck in my own past. Phil, Rachel and Shannon, did an amazing job facilitating this course. Also Katie Wiesel, my coach did an outstanding job at giving a perspective that I could relate to, on topics I felt I felt unsure about.
From the moment I joined the program, I was met with unwavering support, personalized mentorship, and invaluable resources. I learned invaluable skills in networking and was provided numerous opportunities to put them into action. I can now face my transition with confidence, knowing I have the skills I need and a support community by my side. Thank you Honor Foundation!
The Honor Foundation (THF) has been incredibly helpful in synchronizing all of the experiences, training, qualifications, and roles that I’ve obtained in a 20+ year career operating within Special Operations. Additionally, the classes, practical exercises, and treks provided a unique opportunity to obtain new knowledge that supported introspection and allowed me to forge a strategic way-ahead. Overall, I’m grateful for the experience I’ve had through THF and confident that I am better equipped and prepared for whatever the future holds after retirement. Thank you.
THF was nothing short of transformational. I am a new man, and that’s not an exaggeration. I know how to dress for success, I know how to structure my resume, linkedin, and interviews because I know what the hiring managers are looking for. That’s another biproduct of the program that no one brings up – the inside knowledge you get that can shape your approach to networking and interviewing. THF provided me with a platform to learn and grow while building the confidence to approach the next phase of life head on. The professional networks we were introduced to will undoubtedly be life-changing in the future. Where else can you be included in such a diverse, passionate, and supportive community? I am not only ready, but excited to jump off this cliff into the civilian world. I have been, and will continue to, advocate for SOF members to go through THF, and I look forward to being a part of the THF community and giving back in any way I can.
The dedication and enthusiasm of the staff and volunteers sets THF apart. From the moment you walk in, to the end of the course, you feel encouraged, supported, and valued. The amount of resources THF leverages to support their fellows is akin to the quantity (and quality) leveraged in the careers of the SOF men and women whom they are serving.
Honestly life changing. It altered my career path in the best way possible. Helped me network, and set myself up for a better future.
My journey with The Honor Foundation (G85) was effectively transformative! The team guided me through a crucial transition from military service to civilian life. Over the course of their extensive program, I gained invaluable skills and insights. The fellows and THF Alumni meticulously taught me how to craft a professional resume and effectively network within the vibrant Seattle business community. Each session was incredibly supportive, helping me to not only envision but also take solid steps towards my future career. THF operates with a deep commitment to honor and excellence, treating each alumni as part of a respected and cherished family. Participating in this program was not just an education—it was an incredible journey that I will always be grateful for the opportunity. Sam, Megan, and Rebekah are class acts dedicated to serving those of us starting the next chapter in their life. Thank you so very much!!
The Honor Foundation Cohort was an awesome experience. It not only provided me with the tools to be successful in my future career, but also enabled me to build a sense of community with a group of people that I otherwise may have never had the opportunity to communicate with. The staff were incredibly hard working and I am glad that I was able to participate in the program.
I am incredibly grateful for the life-changing experience I had through The Honor Foundation. The program provided me with the tools, resources, and support I needed to successfully transition from military service to the civilian workforce. The coaches and presenters were knowledgeable, supportive, and truly invested in my success. Thanks to The Honor Foundation, I now have a clear career path and the confidence to pursue my goals. I highly recommend this program to any SOF veteran looking to make a successful transition to civilian life.
Best decision that I’ve made my entire career.
The Honor Foundation is a must for transitioning military members assigned to SOF. The program forced me to focus on myself when typically I focus on everyone else. I needed that forcing function to enable my future success. I learned so much from my peers, the course speakers, and my executive coach. This program changed my trajectory and approach. Thank you!!
I loved my time in The Honor Foundation. I learned and grew throughout my time with the cohort and feel much more confident and better prepared for my transition out of the Navy and into the corporate world. The NYC trek was my favorite part of the course, and I liked all of the staff.
THF helped me out of the “flail phase.” I learned how to put words to what I valued and clearly articulate my strengths. It’s not easiest program, but if you do the work, reflect, and trust the process you’ll have the tools to start writing the next chapter of your life.
THF has really provided me an opportunity to reflect on my 36 years of service and internalize my Why. The entire program was beneficial when it helped me to tell me story, translate my military experiences into civilian speak, and allowed me to understand networking for more than I understood previously. THF is without a doubt, a phenomenal program that all retiring Special Operators need to attend.
The Honor Foundation was truly transformative for me. Through their comprehensive training in resume building, interviewing, and self-discovery, I gained the confidence to effectively communicate my abilities to prospective employers. The skills I acquired are invaluable, shaping my professional journey and ensuring I’m well-prepared for any career challenge ahead.
My journey with The Honor Foundation has been nothing short of remarkable. From the unwavering dedication of the staff and coaches to their commitment to my successful transition, every aspect has exceeded my expectations. The invaluable tools provided to transitioning veterans are truly life-changing. If you’re a veteran embarking on the next chapter of your life, don’t hesitate to apply to THF. And for those eager to support a worthy cause, THF stands as a pillar of hope, reliant on donations and support to fulfill its crucial mission. My deepest appreciation goes out to THF and its supporters.
THF has been an incredible experience for me and my family. It has created space for me and my wife to discuss what the transition out of the military will mean for our family in ways that we would not have without THF. The THF team–both professional staff and volunteers–were beyond amazing throughout. I came to THF because peers I trusted went through it before me and highly recommended it; I cannot stress enough how right they were and how much I echo the advice.
The Honor Foundation provided me with the invaluable tools and network to transition smoothly from military service to civilian life. Through their comprehensive programs and mentorship, I gained clarity on my career path and developed the confidence to identify and pursue my goals. The supportive community of fellow alumni continues to inspire and motivate me as I navigate the challenges of my transition and future employment. I’m immensely grateful for the transformative experience, ongoing support and dedication from The Honor Foundation.
Picture a fully stocked toolbox that even comes with tools you didn’t know you needed. But this toolbox is in pristine condition and with no missing tools! That’s The Honor Foundation. My most favorable part was discovering my “why” and aligning that with my transition from the Navy. I am honored to be a THF Alumni and forever grateful to the people of this outstanding organization.
THF helped me figure out my strengths and what fields of employment best suited my personality. Most importantly they showed us how to market ourselves and relay our worth to potential employers. Teaching us the foundational skills of networking, storytelling, resume writing, and interviewing, I now feel more prepared than ever to get a job that I love.
As a Special Forces Captain with 10 years of military experience, I thought knew everything prior to starting THF…Joking! Seriously, I started THF very anxious about ‘what’s next?’. Although I don’t have a definitive answer to that question, I am undoubtedly in a better position now than I was three months ago. THF helped me affirm and verbalize my values, taught me how to network, and exposed me to a variety of industries and incredible people. For that, I am forever grateful. Working alongside the THF team, my Fellows in Cohort 87, and the countless individuals who volunteered their time as coaches, hosting events, and more, has been an eye-opening experience about the strength in the veteran network. I look forward to finding my way through the thick, North Carolina draw that is military transition and turning around to help someone else do the same.
An amazing experience with extremely dedicated staff and volunteers. THF really demystified several areas of transitioning that I was completely unfamiliar with including salary negotiation and networking. My favorite part of the program had to be the mock interviews. I felt unprepared going in, but each of the volunteer interviewers had great feedback and I walked away feeling far more confident. Add to that a consistent voice of experience from my assigned coach, and I feel like I am well prepared to put my best foot forward in my job search.
Network, network, network. Getting the knowledge and know how when looking into companies by utilizing those Cups of Coffee is critical when looking for that next career. I can’t thank everyone enough who works with THF for giving me this opportunity.
When I first joined the Honor Foundation, like many other fellows I was seeking direction, eager for growth, and hungry for information. What I found was much more — the tremendous staff, incredible fellows, and invaluable network will undoubtedly have a positive impact on me for the rest of my life. Thank you, THF!!
This program will yield value well beyond transition! It has been a catalyst to challenge my most inner thoughts and desires, brought clarity and an executable path to my next steps, and validated deeply repressed feelings on my contribution and value i will bring value to a future teams. It is delivered by experts, supported by industry pioneers and trendsetters, and truly understands the unique value SOF brings outside the uniform. If you are looking for a program to holistically bring you to the next level, this is it. If you are an company looking to support a veteran program that taps into the future leaders of industry, this is your cause!
THF took what I knew about military transition and turned everything upside down. This program is a paradigm shift for the way military members think about finding a job and then fitting their life within that job. Here, THF helped me realize my non-negotiables, priorities, and what I want my life to look like. Then they showed me how to go out and land the job that will get me where I want to be. I thought I was starting the transition process too early (24-months out), but have come to realize the earlier you start the better prepared you will be.
THF provided me with a guidebook and mentors advising me during my transition. Thanks to THF, I have gained a clear understanding of myself, boosted my confidence to tackle any challenges that come my way, and equipped myself with the tools to overcome the unknown. The camaraderie established among my cohort and the THF Alumni has grown into an everlasting community that supports and uplifts each other.
The Honor Foundation provides an all-encompassing platform for transitioning service members to analyze, understand, and embrace their new operational environment, i.e., the private sector. The program’s homework assignments force fellows to genuinely think about who they are and what they want to do and, more importantly, where they can deliver a true value based on their personality traits, strengths, skills, experiences while involving their families. The Honor Foundation truly embraces the concept: “Transition is a team sport.” Faculty, coaches, and instructors teach fellows to speak private sector’s language and translate their invaluable personal and professional attributes to match specific roles while exposing them to different industries of the private sector. To say that The Honor Foundation goes above and beyond to help fellows succeed is a huge understatement. When people ask me about The Honor Foundation Transition Cohort, I always say: “It is an absolute must.”
THF has been life changing. It has helped me reshape my perspective on transitioning out of the military. I originally had my doubts, but THF has done an exceptional job helping service members find their identity outside of the military. It also provides a panel of experts with real world experience to provide mentorship and answer any questions. The experience was a true joy and I am greatly appreciative for this opportunity.
THF helped me progress from believing I can be successful after the Army to knowing I will be successful. With THF’s guidance I have examined and re-examined myself, what I want, and what is most important to me. Now I feel confident and prepared to take the next step.
THF provided me with the tools necessary to translate what made me successful in the special operations community into a narrative that is understood by the private sector. The program encouraged me to take the time to reflect on what I truly want to get out of the next season of my personal and professional life. Instead of anxious, I feel excited about the possibilities ahead.
After 31 years service I was experiencing significant anxiety as my retirement approached. THF was absolutely instrumental in helping me learn who I am, what I value and polish the skills to give me the confidence I needed. I would recommend this program for anyone transitioning…. Especially if you have been in for a very long time like myself. I’m honored to have been afforded the opportunity to participate. Thank you THF
The Honor Foundation provided me a new outlook on life outside of the military. I felt stressed and lost during my transition. THF has helped me learn more about myself and my interests. My vision for the future is more narrow. I have a new set of goals that drive me to go out and accomplish them, giving me that similar motivated feeling when I joined the military. I cannot say thank you enough!
After networking, I discovered my true calling: to aid the men and women of Special Operations Commands during their transitional phase. With the assistance of The Honor Foundation, I now have the skills to be part of the process that helps so many individuals find their path in life. It is truly an honor for me to be a part of this effort.
The Honor Foundation experience was the perfect capstone to my military career. The Honor Foundation taught me how to appreciate my own service, and also how to capitalize on the skills I gained throughout my service. My wife and I have nothing but profound gratitude for the Honor Foundation Staff, volunteers and sponsoring organizations that make so much possible for transitioning service members. “Thank you” is not enough.
It was my honor to support the program. Each of the fellows I met with are gentlemen, well intentioned and very engaged to learn. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be part of this transition community.
This program was a game-changer for me. I didn’t realize how truly unprepared I was going into retirement. Now I feel like I’ve been given a detailed map and cheat codes. My outlook has completely changed and the trepidation has faded away. Thank You!
I came into this a full skeptic. I am leaving this program a believer, with a purpose, a direction, and some good friends.
THF was a fantastic growth experience. Cally and Kelsey really helped shine a light on the coming uncertainty. I learned my WHY, understood my strengths and weaknesses, and met a lot of great people. The most impactful aspects were story night and mock interviews. These moments allowed us to articulate who we are, what drives us, and practice the skills being taught. I couldn’t ask for a better program or group of coordinators.
The Honor Foundation (THF) assisted me in identifying the gaps in my transition to the civilian sector. Further the program exposed me to an array of industries all of which were very interesting to include some that I thought I would not have had any interest in. THF wasn’t just a tool for my “tool box” but a whole “work shop” in of itself where I was afforded the opportunity to expound on my talents that were there but I could not see.
The coaches, mentors, and staff provided amazing knowledge and enhanced our skills that each of us possess but didn’t necessarily know how to acknowledge. The past 12 weeks were such an emotional rollercoaster but I would never change the path I took.
A life changing experience. THF’s commitment to preparing special operations veterans for their transition to life after the military is incredible. When you start this program, you join a team of talented professionals and veterans, all of whom are there for one reason, to help you succeed. It has been the most humbling experience of my life.
The Trek is where it all came together for me. It was such a great opportunity to experience culture in a company, to interact with the people, and to find out where or where not to work.
The opportunity to spend 8-10 hours a week getting to purely focus on the transition is invaluable. Paired with the people I was in class with and the amazing coaches & mentors, it’s a truly transformative experience that we get to go through together.
A life changing program that I am so incredibly grateful for the ability to attend. I really love how the program took us down to our roots and we learned about ourselves before diving into resumes, job interviews, etc. I went into that block knowing what my strengths were and what I brought to the table.
I was able to audit the virtual program as I went through class 2 in San Diego in Fall 2014. Having only had one job since retirement in March 2015, this was an opportunity to sharpen the saw and take advantage of the Transition program in its up to date format. It has been very impactful and a significatn part of the journey my family and I are on. Fresh perspective and clarity were the key benefits of this program.
My time at THF was truly transformative and informative. The experience eased my fears about transition, providing valuable insights. The knowledgeable coaches and presenters, along with the dedicated volunteers and staff, genuinely inspired me. Thanks to THF, I now have a clearer understanding of my worth and the tools to confidently translate it into my journey ahead.
The THF program provided an opportunity to allow my self to be vulnerable and share my ideas openly with peers, coaches and mentors. This practice provided a safe environment that contributed to an increase in my self reflection. And while self reflecting I was able to confirm my priorities and soul search a few ideas worth exploring. My favorite portions of the course were the story telling among peers. It was helpful to meet and hear from so many talented servicemen and women serving within the Special Operations community. This venue afforded me the opportunity to cherry pick great ideas to consider during my transition planning. The other favorite venue were the sessions with coach “Jay” Jenkins. I found my self frequently speaking with a friend that I have never met personally. His feedback was priceless and provided multiple nuggets of consideration as I was drafting my transition plan. Ultimately, I needed the time to reflect and think about my options and preferences. THF provided me with this space and multiple tools to prepared me for the transition. Moving forward, I will recommend to anyone transitioning from the service.
THF has been tremendous source of information and knowledge in helping me through my transition from the military. The formula that folks at THF were able to put together to help prepare me and other services members to find the answer to “I don’t know what I want to do when I grow up” is truly impressive. There is not one section of the course better than the other, because every section builds off the other to help provide an ultimate product. That product is, a retiree with the upmost preparation for a new beginning after service. I want to give a special thank you to all the staff at THF for the work that they do behind the scenes to make THF happen. Thank you!
THF gave me the tools, organization, and confidence to properly transition to the appropriate career for me.
THF provided important and useful tools to aid me in my search for my next career. The Faculty and Coaches provided key advice and mentorship throughout the process. The exercises and events greatly improved my ability to find areas of interest and to perform well during interviews.
I had a lot of doubt and anxiety about my transition out of the Army after 21 years. I was sure I was going to screw it up somehow and not develop a plan to be successful. Being a Fellow in THF has helped me so much. I feel very confident now regrading resume development, interviewing, industry research, and telling my story to potential employers.
The THF program helped me solidify my plan for transition. The times spent exploring my personal preferences, strengths and why was extremely beneficial, and I am very grateful for the time and support the THF staff put into helping me. I would recommend any transitioning SOF member explore THF to help them find their way.
The Honor Foundation was a game changer for me and my family. I came into the program convinced I knew exactly what I was going to do in the exact field; and to be honest not that excited about that. The instructors, coaches, and coursework from THF allowed me to view myself through a completely different lens. Without that I never would have been able to get to the level of clarity on myself in what I have to offer to a company other than a specific skill set. THF didn’t pressure me to change; they enabled me to see the best version of my business self. Then THF turned around and demonstrated how to capture that into a resume and sell these qualities in an interview. Now I am very excited about my next chapter and know I will find the upmost fulfillment in the process and where I land.
I would have been lost without The Honor Foundation. I learned very quickly that I couldn’t have done this on my own
“Outstanding transition program!” My confidence has doubled thanks to the in-depth program offered during the virtual class. The coaching and staff were phenomenal. Impactful lessons learned with resume writing, interview approaches, and finding your “why” were game changers for me. I feel fully prepared for my transition, thanks to THF.
The Honor Foundation helped me discover the reason I did what I did all these years, and helped me sift through the noise to find my purpose. After this the THF staff encouraged critical thinking about how my purpose could be applied professionally, and personally. Finally, the program allowed me to see my value, probably the most important part, because when you know what you value is, you begin to see how you can benefit others for the rest of your life.
The cadre, the curriculum, and speakers were simply incredible. The Honor Foundation helped me define my worth as a transitioning service member. The alumni welcomed me with guidance and were ready to help in any way they could. I recommend this to all SOF service members transitioning.
The information and skills that I learned in the Honor Foundation directly led me to my new internship and future job with an amazing company. I met and interviewed with over nine other companies and was able to choose the right company that aligned with my strengths, values and desires. I start the day after graduation.
The Honor Foundation was an amazing experience at the start of my transition from the military. The Honor Foundation’s program helped eased uncertainties I had about transition and solidified my plan afterward. The Honor Foundations resources and speakers are second to none. If you are special operations veteran transitioning out of the military, you are doing yourself a disservice if you don’t attend The Honor Foundation. I have found myself mentoring my colleagues who didn’t attend The Honor Foundation with what I’ve learned through the program.
THF gave me something to aim at, and taught me how to move toward it. The program is just as applicable for a 34 year O6 as it is for a 12 year E7. They drastically shortened my learning curve on how to transition, and in an environment where you’ll be surrounded by peers just as afraid as you are.
This is a phenomenal course and a true success builder! Following the process enabled me to refine my optic of what is important to me and to set me up with the proper tools to make my transition to civilian life! I am truly grateful for this program and all the volunteers and donors that make this program possible. Thank you!
Standing on the precipice of a new chapter, I found myself adrift in a sea of uncertainty. The transition from the regimented world of the military to the untamed expanse of civilian life was akin to navigating a treacherous terrain without a compass. Amidst this bewildering labyrinth, The Honor Foundation (THF) emerged as a beacon of hope, illuminating the path ahead. They extended a lifeline of unwavering support, guiding me through the labyrinthine complexities of civilian life. THF’s unwavering belief in the potential of veterans to excel beyond their military service is a testament to their resolute commitment to shaping the leaders of tomorrow. Their investment in the next generation of changemakers is an invaluable contribution to our collective future. THF is more than just an organization; it’s a tribe, a brotherhood forged from shared experiences and indomitable camaraderie. They stand as a testament to the enduring spirit of service, nurturing the transition of SOF veterans into pillars of strength and inspiration for generations to come.
The Honor Foundation program has been a huge blessing to me. I came into the transition process unsure of what I wanted to do next, unsure of what my purpose was, and unsure if I could find something fulfilling for my next season of life instead of simply doing defense contract work because “it’s what I know”. THF showed me that I was not alone in these thoughts and feelings, that it was ok to need some help doing something as big as transitioning out of the military, and then equipped me with the tools to do it. Through THF’s program, the support of the THF staff, and the brotherhood and support of my cohort, I am now confidently moving forward with transition. I’ve determined my purpose and am confident that I will find a fulfilling role in the next season of my life. I’m equipped with the tools and building the network to help determine what the next steps will be and am sure that I can connect with the right people to not only make a living, but to live my life in accordance with my purpose, goals, and values.
The THF really helped me focus on me! Learning and verifying my strengths and themes really assisted in finding out what really makes me… me. Thanks to the THF, I now have my LinkedIn and Resume up to par. I have benefitted from each and every one of the modules we went over. But it was just about learning how to but more importantly learning how to capitalize them in my future endeavors. And one of my cups of coffee has led to a very promising position!
When I started The Honor Foundation, I had tunnel vision of my goal in my next career path. However, everyone I knew that had recently left the military had told me to do this program, so I was like ok, I will do it. As I followed the program, had my cups of coffee, and interacted with my coach, I could truly find myself and realize that what I wanted in life was not what I was pursuing. Now, I am proud to say that after using the techniques taught. Through this program, I was able to get into a graduate school of engineering to pursue a Master of Computer Science. When I first spoke to the admissions advisor, it was clear academically that I needed to meet some of the pre-requisite classes required. Still, because of my experience and story, the college waived these requirements, leading to my acceptance. I encourage any of my fellow members of the SOF community to trust the process and promise that if you put in the work to the program, you will see the rewards.
I didn’t know how lonely transition could be until it happened. THF made transitioning from the Navy, easy for lack of a better word. We all have that common apprehension of the unknown, and THF and cohort 76 reminded me to do what I’ve always done and meet things head on with the same amount of energy. While guiding me through the process of resume writing and interviewing. Above all Networking. THF was my skill bridge and I do not regret it. Thank you for everything you’ve done. It mattered!
My most impactful moment was when I met my coach for the first time. Karl Miller was a phenomenal coach and in just the short amount of time I learned so much from him. It was insuring to hear him build up my confidence. Thank you THF for assigning coaches that will empower us in our journey.
It was great to be able to put skills I have refined and used in the military and how I can put them into practical use in cooperate world. Story night is by far my favorite night, really lets you get to know the other people that are in the cohort with you.
The Honor Foundation is delivers exactly as promised; a premier transition option for transitioning service members. The work and time demands are quite extensive, so not for everyone, but if you can dedicate the required time, there is zero reason those who qualify should not apply.
THF provided insights, guidance, and introspection into transitioning that far exceeded anything I could have hoped. There is no better program out there, not just for Special Operations, but within the Department of Defense.
I liked the various assessments we took, they helped to focus in on my strengths and areas of potential employment. The various sublect matter experts (LinkedIn, resume building, networking, etc.) were great resources for building products to showcase our potential to the marketplace. The part I enjoyed most was networking with and talking to people in lots of different fields, this was invaluable in figuring out positions that would suit me and those that would not.
I wanted to say thank you to the THF staff and program for providing the knowledge on how to transition. I can honestly say where I was before the program and where I am now is a huge difference. It should be mandatory that anybody and everybody leaving the military get this level of training. Thank you again Group 75!
This experience has truly been life changing and I feel very well prepared to start the next chapter. I am forever greatful for Dan, Stephanie and Kathy for all they have done to prepare us.
Coming from the Special Operations community, I understand that quality is a valuable and rare commodity. With numerous organizations vying to assist SOF operators in transition, I chose The Honor Foundation because quality is at the heart of everything the organization does.
THF gave me the tools to exit the military and more. I have experienced a huge amount of personal growth and I feel very confident in my ability to apply my military experience to the civilian world. I cannot thank the staff enough for the passion and knowledge they brought every single day and to every personal interaction. This program has been one of the highlights of my time in military.
The Honor Foundation is unequivocally the best transition program for the military to date and wins with its curriculum, engaged network of alumni and coaches, and lifelong support. Pound for pound, it is the best return on investment for anyone transitioning out of the military. If you only have time for one program, this is it. Arguably more rewarding than a skill bridge or internship alone!
This program kept me in line with my goals and constantly reminded me of the opportunities available to me.
Such a wonderful program for transitioning SOF. It gets you dialed in and polished for the civilian sector by making your skills that you’ve acquired in your military service translated into civilian marketable skills.
My time with The Honor Foundation has been transformative, offering me valuable knowledge, extensive networking opportunities, and practical experience. The staff, guests speakers, and my fellow classmates made the journey truly enjoyable, creating a supportive environment for transitioning service members. The Mock Interviews and TREK program enhanced the cohort experience, and I am sincerely grateful to The Honor Foundation for the privilege of being part of this exceptional organization.
The Honor Foundation excels in equipping transitioning service members with the necessary skills for networking, resume building, and optimizing LinkedIn profiles, among many other valuable services. They truly go above and beyond in their commitment to preparing service members for the civilian workforce. Throughout the process, my coach, Ashley, demonstrated exceptional dedication and attentiveness. She arranged highly advantageous networking calls that expanded my opportunities with potential employers. I wholeheartedly recommend The Honor Foundation to all my fellow service members. Their expertise and support are truly unmatched.
THF has helped me tremendously throughout my transitioning phase out of the military. I went from not having any idea what the future looked like or what I wanted to do, to finding purpose again and having a focused transitioning path. If you are transitioning out and have the opportunity to be a fellow, I would highly recommend the program!
THF was an incredibly unique experience for transitioning service members. It is helpful whether you’ve been in the military for 30 years or 10 years. All of the first hand knowledge you are able to gain from the amazing opportunities THF provides is priceless.
